This job involved assisting Primor Produce to relocate their operation from a tightly constrained premises in Pukekohe to a purpose-built facility on Patumahoe Road near Puni. Primor Produce is a significant player in the domestic supply of fruit and vegetables.
The project involved the development of a tailor-made warehouse and cool storage facility, from which Primor Produce operates a packaging and distribution service to assist fruit and vegetable growers, package and deliver their produce to supermarkets and food service businesses across the country. Primor Produce is also a major exporter of New Zealand’s avocado crop to markets in Australia, Japan, Koerea, Singapore, a host of other Asian countries and the Pacific Islands.
The development required resource consent for earthworks, building platform design, concrete and asphalt apron design, stormwater discharge, wastewater treatment & discharge and land-use for the operation of the business. The project included the construction of a 3600m² warehouse with a drive-through breezeway and cool store and an office complex. TSC was the lead consultant on this project, providing Planning, Civil Engineering and Surveying services to obtain the required resource consent and then oversee the construction and delivery of the project on time.
